How we collect and protect your personal data when you use ciferi.com.
Who we are
ciferi is operated by DVSC, a company based in the Netherlands. When this policy says "we" or "ciferi," it means DVSC.
What we collect
Your email address, when you subscribe to the newsletter, download a resource, buy a product, or fill out a form. We don't collect names or phone numbers. Every calculator and tool on this site runs in your browser. Nothing you enter gets sent to our servers.
What we do with it
We use your email to send the resource you requested and deliver the weekly newsletter. Purchase confirmations come from LemonSqueezy. We don't sell or share your data with anyone for marketing.
Legal basis
We process your email address on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give when you subscribe or download a resource. Analytics cookies also require consent, collected through our banner. Cloudflare's security cookies and LemonSqueezy's payment processing rely on legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) and contractual necessity (Article 6(1)(b)) respectively.
Who processes your data
We rely on a small number of services to run ciferi.com. MailerLite (EU) handles email delivery and the newsletter. Cloudflare (US, with EU processing options) handles hosting, security, and bot protection via Turnstile. Cloudflare Web Analytics (US, privacy-first) measures page performance metrics (Core Web Vitals) without cookies or personal data. LemonSqueezy (EU) processes payments. Google Analytics 4 (US) measures page views, scroll depth, engagement time, and similar usage data. Google AdSense (US) serves display advertisements on blog and glossary pages, loading only after cookie consent is granted. Microsoft Clarity (US) records anonymised session replays and heatmaps. Each service operates under a data processing agreement, and transfers to US-based processors are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.
Cookies and tracking
When you first visit ciferi.com, a consent banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Accepting allows Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to set cookies that measure site usage and record anonymised session replays. Rejecting prevents both tools from loading; no analytics cookies are set. Cloudflare may still set strictly necessary cookies for security regardless of your choice. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.
How long we keep your data
As long as you're subscribed. When you unsubscribe, we remove your email from our active lists. LemonSqueezy retains transaction records as required by tax law. Google Analytics retains aggregated usage data for 14 months. Microsoft Clarity retains session data for 30 days.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. You can also restrict or object to processing. To withdraw consent for email, click the unsubscribe link in any message. To withdraw consent for analytics cookies, clear your browser's local storage for ciferi.com. For any other request, email us at [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days. If you believe your rights have been violated, you can file a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority).
International transfers
Google and Microsoft are US-based. Cloudflare has US headquarters but offers EU processing options. All three transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses as required by the GDPR. MailerLite and LemonSqueezy are EU-based.
Children
ciferi.com is not directed at anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. If we make a material change, we'll update the date below.
